Case study: Safety margins in new investment, San Diego

Description of the application

O'Hara and Georgakakos (2008) have proposed a method to estimate the impact of climate change on reservoir design, with application to the San Diego reservoir system. Taking into account climate change impacts, among others changing precipitation patterns and more intense evaporation from the reservoir, it was shown that climate change would result in important additional cost for the design and construction of the reservoirs

Implementation cost

Estimated financial cost for the implementation of the measures, given as a cost range.
